In many areas of the world, nature’s forests are disappearing at a frightening pace.  Along with their destruction, microenvironments are changing, with a devastating effect on the land’s ability to provide for its inhabitances.

PHI recognizes that no one can effectively reduce this devastating trend of forest extermination without providing affordable alternative fuel sources.  PHI, therefore, promotes the production of briquettes from waste vegetative matter to replace the local dependence on charcoal produced through the destruction of native trees.

PHI utilizes a simple briquette press, which can be assembled for about $40.00 from locally available materials.
